Larnaca welcomes the award-winning theatrical performance "Tears of Silence” based on the book of the same title by Aria Socratous, Monday, November 28, at 7 pm, in the Scala Hall, at the Radisson Blu Hotel on the initiative of the International Women's Club and the Consulate of the Philippines.
This joint effort of the women diplomats who are with their missions in our country, in collaboration with the internationally awarded actress Paola Hadjilambri, who plays in this theatrical monologue, not one but three different women, victims of human trafficking and abuse, aims to help the association SPAVO (Association for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in the Family) for the creation of a house for the protection of women and children who fell victims, in the city of Larnaca.
This theatrical monologue, which won awards in America and Italy, will travel to Australia in 2023 representing our country as the performance is under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Cyprus while the House of Representatives is the co-organizer, with the initiative of the President herself, Mrs. Annita Demetriou.
This riveting monologue depicts on the stories of three women, from three different countries ending up in America. Christina from Greece, Roxana from Russia and Sonia from the Czech Republic. They all have their own story to tell with something or someone connecting them all. Confessions that will shock and trouble but represent the raw reality.
The duration of the performance is 45 minutes, and it is in English with Greek surtitles.
The performance will be followed by a reception with food, drinks and live music at the Skybar of the Radisson Blu Hotel, on the 16th floor.
